Meet Marilyn Fischer,
Designer of Bead Jewelry
Color, texture and design have always intrigued me. I enjoyed sewing as a teenager and later sewed for our four children. I also had an intense interest in painting — first in oils and then in watercolors. My artwork is in many private homes and public collections including the UND Library in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Merit Care Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota.
In 1982, I had an inspiration to create a necklace using seashells and ribbon fibers. This was the beginning of a new and satisfying career as a designer of bead jewelry! Working directly with color and texture in my own designs evolved to working with beads, metal and clay. As a designer of bead jewelry, my current work centers on beautiful semi precious stones with fine glass and metal accent beads.
Some of you know my daughter, Susan Fischer Hayes of Billings, Montana, who is also a designer of bead jewelry. We participate in shows in our respective states and together in Shakopee, Minnesota. Our tour for the past 17 years has included Chicago, Oklahoma City, Omaha, and many other cities. Deciding to semi-retire, we now attend only six shows a year. With our new websites, our cherished customers can still view our unique jewelry year round. We also welcome those of you who are seeing our creations for the first time.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my jewelry collection of earrings, necklaces and bracelets online. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or prefer to order over the phone. You may also visit my daughter Susan's website for inspiration from yet another designer of bead jewelry.
